My 7-year business journey

2017: I picked up a camera for fun while at a finance job during my sophomore year of college.

2018: I took pictures and videos every day for fun on my camera while going to college for business. I filmed events, weddings - pretty much anything under the sun that sparked my infatuation with cameras.

2019: While I was supposed to graduate from college this year, I decided to take a leap and move to LA to pursue freelance video and photo work. I slept on my friend’s couch with $500 in my bank account until I was able to work my way up to pay for rent.

2020: Well… it worked and I didn’t have to go back to school for business. I pushed myself to my limit and got a full-time job as head of content at a health and wellness company, toured with Oprah, and did a bunch of other fun things by taking a leap last year.

2021: I achieved a bit of financial stability and stacked my schedule with freelance work outside of my full-time job to start building my own business on the side. This is when I started to realize I wanted a bit more control over my schedule and life.

2022: I left my full-time job and moved from LA to Newport to build a course with a friend teaching people how to fly drones. This was my next big leap, and a step into the world of entrepreneurship.

2023: I spent a year and a half building the drone course, and as the business goals changed I decided to shift my focus to my current video marketing brand while building a personal brand on the side.

2024: Now we’re here - gaining more balance and freedom over my schedule one day at a time all because I picked up a camera and took a few leaps into the unknown. I’m doing monthly video work with a handful of clients, some one-off shoots outside of my monthly clients, and spending the rest of my time filming YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok videos to build my personal brand.
